Not all enclosures are created equal. Rittal understands that it can be overwhelming to sift through the information to make the right purchasing recommendations and decisions. Attend Rittal’s upcoming webinar that will guide you through the key considerations when specifying a new industrial enclosure.
Key Takeaways:
• The differences between modular and welded unibody enclosures
• How the two types of enclosures perform essential functions
• Key questions to consider when making a purchasing decision
• Best practice considerations when specifying an enclosure
The webinar will be presented by Training Supervisor Steve Sullivan of Rittal, and will detail the differences between truly modular and unibody welded enclosures and address the considerations that should be made when specifying an enclosure in order to achieve better utility and lower overall cost of ownership. The webinar will be of interest to anyone who has any involvement in specifying industrial enclosures.
Today’s modular enclosures differ from older, welded enclosures in several important ways. Newer enclosures’ modularity provide greater flexibility in system design, mounting options, and other deployment characteristics. Modular enclosures provide a much greater range of dimensions, multiple mounting options, more flexibility in system designs, greater ease of wiring, and high configurability using standard components — all of which can serve to lower overall costs.
Steve will discuss the essential functions of enclosures, and how the two enclosure types perform those functions. Additionally, he will share best practice considerations when specifying an enclosure. Among those considerations are the application for which the enclosure will be used, the environment in which it will reside, material considerations, the enclosure’s need to facilitate cable management, as well as an in-depth look at what you need to know when
considering space, temperature and internal design requirements.
