JMP Solutions today announced that it is being named as one of this year’s Best Workplacesin Canada for medium-sized companies given by the Great Place to Work® Institute. JMP has been a certified Great Place to Work® now for six years in a row. This Great Place to Work® certification and Best Workplaces™ award offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture and business excellence.

The list of Best Workplaces Canada is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The first step is receiving a Great Place to Work® certification. To be certified as a Great Place to Work, employees are sent a Trust Index survey where at least two thirds of employees must complete the survey and JMP must achieve a trust index score of at least 75% to be considered. In addition to the survey, there is an evaluation of the company’s HR Policies and Procedures. This year, JMP’s overall Trust Index© score was 87% with a participation rate of 86%. This achievement was announced in the fall of 2017 by the Great Place to Work® Institute, allowing JMP to be eligible and considered for the Best Workplaces™ National list.

To achieve a Best Workplaces award, an additional Culture Audit© must be completed and submitted for evaluation by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada against all the other companies within the size category. JMP was awarded with Top 50 Best Workplaces in Canada for medium-sized companies, ranking #29 overall.

“It’s a true honour to be recognized by the Great Place to Work® Institute for a sixth year in a row,” said Scott Shawyer, President and CEO of JMP Solutions. “The Best Workplaces award pays tribute to our employees who truly make JMP a great place to work. JMP’s core values are extremely important to each individual who works here – we strive to align ourselves with every value and allow it to show through the work we perform.”

JMP has been committed to providing a workplace where employees can thrive, grow and truly enjoy what they do for more than 30 years. One of the company’s core values is Collaboration – sharing ideas, best practices and working towards a common goal. Year over year, JMP focuses on enhancing team culture, celebrating achievements and building a workplace where employees are respected, motivated and appreciated.
