In the digital era, and specifically for those working with automation and control products, embracing the advantages that digitization offers not only sets companies apart but projects a movement toward the future.

Newark has done just that with their interactive diagrams that allow users to conveniently browse their Process & Control Product Catalogues. The interactive design allows users to highlight various product lines on the interactive image and navigate direct links to each product line, which are categorized into specific areas optimizing search functionality.

Interactive catalogues are rising in popularity, giving any e-commerce portal the digital advantage. Primarily by providing simplified search functions presented in a manner that allows all products to be accessed from a single interactive diagram for potential clients. Rather than navigating drop down menus or returning to a homepage in order to begin a new product search, interactive diagrams make for a more ideal client experience.

Newark has applied this to their Process and Control products, utilizing imagery of a factory line to direct interested parties to the various process products offered.

The process products diagram provides those within the process industries to focus specifically on products within their specialty, or for generalized OEM’s to access and view products from the beginning to end of the line. This creates a user-friendly experience and provides a quick and easy browsing process.

The control product catalogue uses a completed panel to highlight the variety of products offered for panel builders, again allowing for specific product line viewing, both on the interactive image and through deeper product line selection.

Control Panel.jpgFor suppliers and manufacturers with extensive product offerings, an interactive design can cut-down on clutter and organize your website in way that is tailored to the end-user. Clients can browse and compare products in a user-friendly manner, translating into a more educated and convenient purchasing experience.

The interactive style can also add convenience to sales efforts, allowing sales representatives to access product offerings and offer detailed information in a timely manner. In addition, an interactive diagram is more versatile when it comes to mobile commerce and sales. Although they seem to be growing larger by the day, smartphone screens make for inconvenient product browsing given their small size. An interactive model can cut through the endless scrolling associated with mobile commerce. Although many sites include a search engine feature, interactive diagrams and catalogues provide an added level of convenience when clients do not know exactly what they need.

Ultimately the configuration streamlines product browsing for clients and sales reps, simplifying the browsing experience while also making it more engaging.
