Selecting the Best Remote Access Solution for Your Application

For utility workers such as linemen maintaining electrical lines or natural gas infrastructure one of the most critical, yet undervalued, tools of the trade have been headlamps. In low light conditions, these essential tools enable technicians to clearly view the task and surroundings under bright light while freeing up both hands.
In this rapidly changing world of industrial automation, the terminal blocks remain some of the unsung heroes. Small but mighty, they make sure that connections are seamless and that all machinery and systems which constitute modern industries are running smoothly. But like everything else in technology, they too have not remained static. Very recently, innovations seek to not only make them more efficient but sustainable and smarter than ever before.
In today’s climate, staying connected and on top of the rapidly changing landscape in automation can be a daunting task. Information comes to us from a variety of sources and are not always delivered in a coherent and connected manner.
Rockwell Automation announced February 12, 2025, that they are pleased to work with Toronto, Ontario-based silicon anode active materials company, NEO Battery Materials. The collaboration aims to deliver solutions to aid the battery material manufacturer on its first North American facility, a 240-ton facility with the capacity to grow up to 5,000 tons of silicon anode material per year in Windsor, Ontario.
Variations in the printing or marking method of barcodes and direct part marks (DPMs) – including poor ink distribution, incorrect thermal printer heat settings, or uneven pressure in surface abrasion – can hamper readability. Since no-reads can make production inefficient, it’s important to understand the types of print/mark inconsistencies and their causes.
With the growth of e-Commerce, comes major changes in global retail and logistics. Because of this, companies are seeking automated warehouse solutions to meet this growth. New automated technologies are providing these companies with the capabilities they need to optimize their use of resources. By minimizing operational space, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) enable retailers to not only maximize their resources but also ship products faster and more efficiently.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.
Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.
