5 Canadian Universities Make top 100 list for Automation and Control on the Academic Ranking of World Universities

In an increasingly automated world the importance of advanced training for the next generation is ever prevalent. Universities are focusing more time and funds into their Electrical Engineering Departments and more classes focused on advanced technologies for Control and Automation.
Shanghai ranking looks closely at Universities around the globe and ranks them according to the number of academic publications and citations used. Their focus on Universities involved in automation and control identified five Canadian universities that rank in the top 100 globally.
The University of Toronto received the highest ranking, coming in 13th overall. Coming in lower on the list was the University of Alberta, University of Waterloo, Concordia University and Ryerson University.
