Spartan Controls Expands Fire & Security Portfolio with Osprey Intelligent Visual Monitoring Solutions
February 5, 2018
Spartan Controls Ltd. has announced it is now the exclusive representative of Osprey Informatics in Western Canada. Spartan will sell, supply, and service Osprey’s intelligent visual monitoring solutions designed to manage costs, and mitigate safety, environmental and security risks at industrial operations.
Osprey removes the distance between remote assets in the oil and gas industry, by providing instant visual access via a web-based application. Operators can see remote sites, receive alerts, inspect current and historical activities, images and related data.
“We are very excited to be representing Osprey technology and solutions,” said Jim Hueston, Manager, Fire & Security at Spartan Controls. “Osprey’s platform features a combination of powerful analytics and computer vision that can be easily managed to enable operators to proactivity monitor their assets efficiently, from anywhere.”
Osprey Reach sends accurate, rules-based event notifications via email or scheduled activity reports. Producers are using this visual data to confirm the operating status of assets and personnel and to ensure regulatory requirements and safety compliance.
“Osprey greatly increases access to remote assets while improving worker safety by enhancing security, reducing incident response times, and eliminating the need of travel to and from remote sites on a daily basis, allowing management and inspection by exception,” said Paul Ritchie, Director of Sales at Osprey. “We are very happy to announce this partnership with Spartan and look forward to working with a great team.”
Osprey Reach features advanced computer vision for vehicle and people detection to virtually eliminate the false alerts typically associated with motion-based, in-camera analytics, and is designed to integrate, train and deploy a range of computer vision algorithms to solve additional customer challenges. Osprey Reach also integrates easily with data systems such as fleet management, machinery analytics and industrial sensors. Visual monitoring solutions may also include thermal or infrared imaging.
