Emerson has announced it has launched supervisory control systems for large facilities to bring customers more control over their facility operation capabilities. Supervisory controls from Emerson allow for simple visibility and control over refrigeration, HVAC, lighting and more to deliver customers enhanced operational efficiency, better cost savings and improved connectivity.

Optimized for Emerson’s ProAct™ enterprise management software and ProAct Alerts mobile app, these supervisory controls collect and analyze data, which gets cloud-processed through ProAct software, apps and advanced services into insights about current conditions, developing trends, performance history and operational metrics. This real-time data can then be used to assist facility and enterprise managers not only respond quickly to issues, but also help them be more proactive in preventing issues that may impact customer experiences, food quality or operating costs.

“Our supervisory controls are designed to provide quick, helpful information and insights for our customers, but we really wanted to make sure that this new system was simple and powerful,” said Reggie O’Donoghue, director of electronics product management, Emerson’s Commercial and Residential Solutions platform. “These products are optimized for desktop or mobile devices, meaning our customers can control their store building management systems from virtually anywhere with an internet or cellular connection. We’ve also designed in the flexibility to allow users to choose to see the information most relevant to them.”

Emerson’s full line of supervisory controls for large facilities includes the system supervisor, building supervisor, refrigeration supervisor and kitchen supervisor, all of which can deliver the right control system and power solution for every operation and enterprise. Flexible software licensing helps enable seamless system capability expansion, integrating and/or retrofitting, and engineered control panels are easily mounted, installed and adopted for new users.

New features include a simplified setup process, improved file management, graphics scheduling and a user-friendly interface with multiple display options. In addition, the new Emerson System Supervisor features advanced functions with building and refrigeration supervisory controls such as more storage, additional processing power, smart alarms, site aggregation and a performance meter, showcasing performance levels based on up to 13 months of data.

Emerson controls, systems and services connect millions of communicating cold chain devices at hundreds of thousands of global locations, controlling operations, consolidating data, creating insights and accelerating decisions. Through its extensive installations in grocery retail, restaurants, food processing and food distribution, Emerson provides insights to help companies protect food, improve sustainability and manage human comfort.
