Eclipse Automation Awarded Gold Standard for Canada’s Best Managed Companies

March 12, 2019

For the fifth consecutive year, Eclipse Automation won Canada’s Best Managed Companies award with a prestigious Gold Standard designation for 2018.

Canada’s Best Managed Companies is Canada’s leading business awards program, recognizing excellence in private Canadian owned companies. Each year, hundreds of organizations undergo a rigorous application process, but only the best are awarded. Eclipse Automation is recognized for its ability to find success and invest in technology, talent, innovation and cross-border business. A leading trait amongst winners is excellent planning and preparing for new challenges with a sharp focus on the future.

Aligned with its growth strategy, Eclipse Automation supports its customers with economic advantages, technical know-how, flexibility and outstanding service. Recent expansion includes a new facility in Cambridge, Ontario, and an additional 57,000 square foot building in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Eclipse’s workforce has reached 400 members in seven facilities across North America.

Eclipse Automation first won Canada’s Best Managed award in 2014 and has received the award every year since. In 2017 and 2018, Eclipse claimed Gold Standard status as they proved to be productive and sustainable across borders. “This year’s winners demonstrate exceptional leadership and commitment to drive growth,” said Dino Medves, Senior Vice-President and Head, Commercial Banking at CIBC. “Their success is a result of taking a deliberate approach to build strong teams and a vested interest in the future development of their talent.”

Steve Mai, CEO and President of Eclipse Automation stated, “Eclipse is grateful to be recognized once again as a Canadian Best Managed company. Our consistent growth has been the result of planning, investment, talent and an eye on the future. Our experience and global orientation have allowed us to be a market leader in custom automation. We are honored to once again be a part of this remarkable program alongside other Gold Standard colleagues”.

“This year’s Best Managed winners know what it takes to succeed in the future. By investing in innovation and embracing a people-centric approach, these companies are outpacing their competition,” said Lorrie King, National Co-Leader of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program and Partner, Deloitte Private.
