This session will focus on how automation helps companies tackle the shift to high mix/low volume manufacturing. With small to medium sized companies in mind, we will discuss “right sizing” production equipment. Right sizing can translate into a major cost and floor space savings for companies looking for smaller machine tools and/or robots to meet their production needs. We’ll also address the importance of having equipment that is easy to use – even for companies that have little or no previous experience with automation equipment.

Peter Körte (44) has been appointed the new head of Siemens’ Strategy Department, effective February 1, 2020. In this role, he will succeed Horst J. JMP Parent Company, CONVERGIX Acquires AGR Automation, Expanding Global Reach

Convergix Automation Solutions has completed the acquisition of AGR Automation (“AGR”), a UK-based provider of custom, high-performance automation design and systems integration primarily to the life sciences industry.

Following Convergix’s acquisitions of JMP Solutions in August 2021 and Classic Design in February 2022, AGR marks the third investment in Crestview’s strategy to build Convergix into a diversified automation solutions provider targeting the global $500+ billion market, with a particular focus on the $70 billion global systems integration and connectivity segments. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
