The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) is proud to celebrate the hard work of Eclipse Automation and congratulate them on the virtual grand opening of the Eclipse Automation Nuclear Facility. The new facility, located at 135 Pinebush Road in Cambridge marks the latest investment by Eclipse into the local community and into the nuclear industry to create local jobs and broaden Canada’s commitment to efficient, safe and smart nuclear technology.

Eclipse Automation’s Nuclear Division is led by a select group of highly specialized engineers and project managers with decades of experience in the nuclear sector. This expertise is combined with the Eclipse global team of more than 700 mechanical and controls system designers; and electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing technicians, who can be drawn upon to take on some of the industry’s largest and most complex challenges. Leveraging Eclipse’s 20 years of experience in other sectors, the company is disrupting the traditional thinking in nuclear projects by implementing proven commercially available robotics and other technologies to reduce time, cost and risk of system development. Eclipse excels in helping clients navigate their most time-constrained or technically complex challenges.

The virtual grand opening and video tour of the new facility office tour was widely attended by the local community leaders including MP Brian May, Minister Bill Walker, the Mayor of Cambridge, Kathryn McGarry, along with representatives from industry including Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, Ontario Power Generation and Ron Oberth, President and CEO of OCNI were also in attendance to provide congratulatory remarks.
