NOARK Launches a 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy to Foster a Diversified Future

January 27, 2025

This month, NOARK Electric joins their parent company, the CHINT Group, a global smart energy solutions provider, in unveiling their global 2030 sustainable development strategy, marking a milestone in their commitment to building a diversified future.

The strategy was launched in collaboration with thousands of supply chain partners and Chief Sustainability officers (CSOs) of the Group’s key subsidiaries.

NOARK is proud to exemplify the goals of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), that provide a roadmap for a sustainable future, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies help businesses contribute to these goals. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. NOARK has responded to the urgent call for action by launching this strategy to recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

At the heart of the strategy lies the newly introduced “EMPOWER” Sustainable Development Model, which guides eight key actions:

  1. Addressing Climate Change
  2. Clean Technology Opportunities
  3. Promoting Circular Economy
  4. Sustainable Product Management
  5. Human Capital Development
  6. Sustainable Supply Chain Management
  7. Corporate Governance
  8. Business Ethics

The Group and its subsidiaries have also articulated its ESG vision: “committed to becoming a global leader in smart and green energy solutions,” and its ESG mission: “leading the green transformation of energy, making electric power safer, greener, more convenient and efficient.”

“Faced with the pressing challenges of climate change, sustainable development is no longer a choice but an imperative,” said Nan Cunhui, Chairman of Group. “We are committed to collaborating with global partners to embed ESG into corporate strategies, foster a sustainable development ecosystem, drive energy transformation, and collectively turn aspirations for a sustainable future into reality.

This marks the first time that this Group has launched its ESG strategy on a global scale, elevating ESG to a core strategic priority. The strategy will guide the company in implementing sustainable development practices across its operations, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and robust governance. Patrick Woodham, GM, NOARK Electric, North America, “The 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy represents a bold step forward in empowering communities, advancing smart energy innovation, and leading the global transition to a more sustainable and resilient future. We intend to reflect this strategy in our campaigns and activities going forward to demonstrate our adherence to the UN’s ESG strategy and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”
