Panduit Collaborates with Cisco to Drive Data Center Sustainability
August 23, 2023
Panduit Corp., recently announced its collaboration to integrate its intelligent PDU (iPDU) with the Cisco Nexus Dashboard.
This integration empowers data center managers with enhanced visibility into energy usage, carbon footprint, and cost across both on-premises and multi-cloud environments. Cisco announced the collaboration with Panduit at Cisco Live 2023 in Las Vegas.
“Together, Cisco and Panduit can help our joint customers build resilient, energy efficient, and high-performance data centers,” stated Panduit Vice President of Data Center, Holly Garcia. “Our collaboration has grown beyond network infrastructure to the strategic area of power and sustainability. We have partnered with Cisco to streamline data from our intelligent PDU (iPDU) into Sustainability Insights on Cisco Nexus Dashboard. We are dedicated to driving greater visibility into sustainability with Cisco, enabling customers to monitor and forecast their future energy needs, costs, as well as carbon emissions through our integration with Nexus Dashboard.”
The urgent need for sustainability initiatives has evolved from a regulatory and compliance necessity to a critical business imperative. Gartner predicts that by 2027, 75% of organizations will have implemented a data center sustainability program. Rising energy and material costs, escalating power requirements, and impending regulations have intensified the urgency surrounding climate action.
Technology vendors such as Cisco and Panduit play a pivotal role in providing solutions for data centers, which contribute to global greenhouse gas emissions. The integration of the Cisco Nexus Dashboard and Panduit iPDU will equip customers with the necessary data to help accelerate their sustainability roadmap, regardless of whether they are just beginning or are well along their journey to achieving net zero.
