Allied Electronics & Automation is announcing the expansion of its current Sales organization. The addition will include 40 new roles, combined with a restructuring of the team, to further enhance the company’s ability to serve customers in key markets across the Americas.

“There is a big opportunity for Allied and the larger Electrocomponents Group to continue to expand and take market share in the Americas,” said Group CEO Lindsley Ruth. “We have consistently outperformed the market over the last several years and are committed to investing in the right areas of the business to serve our customers better and position ourselves as the leader across the Americas.”

Today, Allied has a sales team of more than 425 in the U.S., Canada, Chile, and Mexico and will increase that number to more than 465 in the coming months.

“At a time when many other companies are scaling back, Allied is investing in more resources to support our customers,” said VP of Sales Ken Bradley. “Combined with our digital capabilities and our leading offer in automation and control, we are well positioned for growth, even in slowing market conditions.”

These additions to the sales organization follow recent investments to expand the warehouse, build a stronger product portfolio, and enhance Allied digital capabilities.

Investing in Facilities
Last fall, Allied announced a state-of-the-art warehouse expansion at its current facility in Fort Worth, Texas. By July 2020, Allied will add 200,000 square feet to its current operations, resulting in a distribution center of more than 520,000 square feet. See their growth at Warehouse Expansion.

Investing in Digital
Over the last few years, Allied has accelerated its investment in digital capabilities. In June, Allied announced a new responsive website that allows customers to get the best possible experience online, regardless of which device they use. Allied also became the first distributor in its industry to announce more than 20,000 products on the website with 360-degree spin images.
