New SINAMICS G120X drive series specializes in infrastructure pump, fan and water/wastewater applications

November 22, 2019

Siemens is introducing SINAMICS G120X, a new generation of cost-effective, reliable and easy-to-use variable frequency drive presents a solution for fan, pump, water and wastewater applications mainly for infrastructure sector but also for the industry sector. SINAMICS G120X Offers wide power range from 0.75 to 630 kW/ 1 to 700 HP in 200-240V, 380-480V and 500-690V voltage classes and protection degrees, it can operate in a temperature range from -4 to +140° F (-20 to +60° C) with any standard motor, including synchronous reluctance motors (SRM). The optimum solution due to its out-of-the-box concept makes setup time fast and extremely simple for operation.

Ease of use

The SINAMICS G120X offers outstanding “out-of-the-box” ease of use, the colored panel of intelligent operator panel allows easy identification of faults and alarm messages, the Smart Access Module via Wi-Fi enables easy setup at up to 50m distance range.

Connectivity and integration

The SINAMICS G120X offers PROFINET, Profibus1, EtherNet/IP, BACnet MS/TP1 & Modbus RTU1 as built-in communication, it allows easy PLC connectivity as a standard, besides, it is compatible with PCS 7 distributed control system1 and engineering tools to ensure easy and consistent communication through the system.

Reliable, flexible and efficient

Integrated DC link choke reduces costs by eliminating need for input reactor, the 3C3 coating2,3 + extended operating temperatures -20 ˚C to 45/ 60˚C enable operation in harsh environments and the integrated safe torque off SIL3 makes it easy to achieve safety standard.

Ready for digitalization

Sinamics G120X converters can be linked to MindSphere over Sinamics Connect 300, offering users the opportunity to analyze valuable operating data gathered from the converter, the drive train and the machine using the MindSphere app Analyze MyDrives. This enables the visualization and analysis of status information, providing users with valuable data which can be used as the basis for optimizing processes and maintenance strategies.

Do you place emphasis on maximum availability and cost efficiency along with optimum asset management? Siemens can provide you with a unique offer based on the SINAMICS G120X: In the case of service, within a period of up to 7 ½ years, you can have your converter repaired or replaced.

Your advantages:
