MURR Canada: Virtual Opportunities Exclusive to your Team

January 28, 2021

It is safe to say that 2020 has driven many people to increase their online presence and overall engagement with online learning, networking and just staying in touch. With the cancellation of trade shows and many in-person learning opportunities we have turned to the digital world to provide us with those connections and opportunities we once had at our fingertips, literally.

There have been numerous virtual trade shows and an inundation of webinars aimed at providing a semblance of those experiences and opportunities that we often took for granted. However, not all of us feel the full connection we once did with virtual experiences and some have recognized this and strived from the beginning of 2020 to offer a more inclusive experience that resembles previous learning opportunities.

Panel Builder & Systems Integrator recently had the opportunity to sit down with Colin Cartwright, System Sales Manager and Jamal Kadhum, Systems Sales Specialist with MURR Canada. MURR Canada had always focused on delivering in person Lunch & Learn opportunities and Colin and Jamal spoke with us about how they have carried on that 1-on-1 experience throughout 2020.

Rather than deliver webinars to a broad base of participants MURR Canada focused on continuing Lunch & Learn opportunities in a virtual setting that retain much of the original direction their sessions took. These learning opportunities provide exclusive opportunities for businesses to discuss current projects with only their team members present, even if they are in different locations. And yes, MURR Canada still provides the lunch regardless of where you are!

As they point out “this creates a more personal and interactive environment that enables your team to ask questions and discuss applications in a completely private setting.”

As Colin notes the approach is quite unique and he has not heard of any other companies in Canada offering virtual learning in this way. And it is working, Murr has engaged in Lunch & Learn sessions with countless companies this year and has had incredible feedback.

The sessions currently offered include:

  •    –   The Ins & Outs of Connectivity
  •    –   Smarter I/O System Design
  •    –   The Top 5 Benefits of IO Link
  •    –   The “As & Bs” of IO Link
  •    –   From Sensor to Cloud
  •    –   Smarter DC Power Distribution & Protection
  •    –   I/O System Review

However, topics are not limited to those mentioned as MURR Canada also offers custom virtual meetings that mirror the online training available. If your team has a particular application question or implementation concern Murr offers virtual meetings to discuss the best practices and solutions to meet clients’ application needs.

If finding the website to book these meetings is not the best approach for your team there are other ways in which online training can be approached. If you purchase a MURR product you are provided the option to schedule virtual training to aid you in implementing that product. This includes learning about the do’s and don’ts, how to set up, format/parameters, and learning about linking the I/O into your existing application.

In a world that has gone largely digital this year MURR Canada has focused on holding onto that direct personal engagement with you and your team in the safest manner possible while ensuring you still have the connections and resources to affectively implement your I/O needs.
