NOARK Electric – Delivering High Quality Low-Voltage Components for More Than 10 Years

NOARK Electric

December 7, 2022

Manufacturers today are focused more than ever on finding reliable sources of high quality products in our suddenly fractured global supply chains.

NOARK Electric is focused on ensuring that its customers continue to receive high quality products, delivered on-time, and with reasonable production lead-times. NOARK Electric is a global manufacturer of low-voltage electrical components for industrial applications, and they specialize in motor controls and circuit protection components for machinery manufacturers and industrial panel builders.

But first let’s look a little at the roots of NOARK Electric and the principal focus, and offerings being delivered.

A Brief Look: NOARK Electric

Noark is the North American subsidiary of Chint Global, which was founded in 1984 and currently is the largest electrical products manufacturer in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2011 Chint Global launched NOARK in North America and Europe to deliver products that are specifically designed to meet the needs of these markets. In North America, all Noark products are certified to UL and CSA standards by a dedicated product development and engineering organization.

Low voltage products make up a substantial portion of the overall electrical industry’s sales. NOARK Electric is also developing products specific to some emerging areas such as battery storage, electric vehicles & EVSE, along with the more established, but rapidly growing Solar PV and wind power markets. The continued demand for more energy, and the simultaneous need to reduce emissions will drive these segments of the market as we go forward.

Rob Farrell, Technical Marketing Manager, noted “we have hundreds of engineers working with our two plants focused on continually advancing our product breadth and technologies.” All the products offered from NOARK Electric are designed and manufactured in-house. Further, NOARK Electric will be opening a state-of-the-art, UL-Approved high power test lab in early 2023 to support product designs, and test products in conjunction with customers.

Noark’s technical expertise is not just focused on product development but is also in place to support OEMs and Panel Builders with the application of the products. NOARK Electric’s technical support comes from their seasoned Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales reps and Technical Marketing resources, who collectively have more than 200 years of experience in the industry.  The recent appointment of Sales Outsource Solutions as the company’s Manufacturers Sales Representative across Canada has exponentially increased the number of experienced technical sales resources available to Noark’s customers.

NOARK Electric has also been uniquely positioned to address the current global supply chain crisis that has so severely affected the electrical industry, and many others. The company’s large position in the Asia-Pacific market (Chint Global is the largest electrical manufacturing group in Asia) and its vertically integrated, local supply chain means that Noark’s large plants can secure raw materials and sub-components that many other manufacturers have struggled to obtain. In all, Noark has more than 11M square feet of ISO 9000 certified manufacturing space for low-voltage products. To provide some scale for comparison, the company manufactures approximately 750 million poles of miniature breakers each year.

In further support of Canadian customers, Noark is opening a dedicated Canadian warehouse in Kitchener, ON by the end of November 2022. Patrick Woodham, General Manager for Noark, North America noted that “Canadian clients will benefit from our secure supply chain, but also from the specialization of the products we stock there. As we all know, the Canadian market has its unique needs that are sometimes difficult to fit into inventory planning from a US-based facility with 10x the market volume. Our warehouse will be staffed with both logistics personnel, and customer support resources that will be able to focus on our Canadian customers.”

In all, NOARK Electric is a company with deep roots in supporting and advancing low-voltage products for today and tomorrow. Their focus on continually developing advanced products alongside their 40 years of manufacturing experience will ensure they continue advance their support to their customers in Canada. Watch for more information about Noark’s plans to further support its Canadian customer base.
