Safety io, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subsidiary of MSA, The Safety Company, has introduced a series of features to improve its customers’ user-experience when it comes to gas detection and management. These include single sign-on (SSO) and a new dashboard design which makes navigating and identifying fleet concerns even easier for safety managers.

Single sign-on (SSO) enables secure, easy access to the Grid

SSO is an advanced, secure authentication method that enables smoother access to the Safety io Grid platform. Now, all Grid customers can use their company login details to access their Grid account, eliminating the need for different credentials for multiple applications.

SSO is available today on the Grid web application, and will soon ne integrated into the mobile application experience.

All-new dashboard helps safety managers take proactive action

All subscribers to Safety io Grid services will now have access to a new and improved dashboard which consolidates key data for its users.

The new dashboard design displays information in a format that is easy to understand and analyze, enabling safety teams to make proactive decisions and streamline all aspects of their gas detection program management.

Software improvements make accessing information and taking action even easier

The Grid platform is already known by its users for being intuitive. But recent software improvements, such as automatic download and report sharing, make it even easier for users to get the information they need and take action.

Streamlining gas safety management

A raft of new Safety io features and benefits will help further streamline gas safety management:

  •    –   Safety managers can now determine the warranty status of a sensor remotely, without having the device to hand.
  •    –   Grid services now allow devices to be assigned to a specific department, worker and/or location via virtual device labelling. This can help improve worker accountability and identify training opportunities.
  •    –   The notification system now helps customers automate calibration gas refills and other maintenance concerns – something customers appreciate as it simplifies gas detection management.

Gustavo Lopez, General Manager for Safety io at MSA Safety said: “To maximize the potential of data collected from their gas detectors, safety managers need cloud-based software that allows them to easily get the information they need, when they need it. Safety io’s new and improved Grid service empowers safety managers by providing simplified, actionable insights to improve their gas safety program. This allows them to focus on what really matters – improving safety awareness and outcomes, and working toward an injury-free workforce.
