Finder: Expanded OPTA Series Features Three New Modules

May 22, 2024

The OPTA Programmable Logic Relay range from Finder is supplemented with three new expansion modules, expanding the potential of the PLR. The OPTA PLR is a collaboration between Finder and Arduino Pro, producing a new level of technology, opening up multiple possibilities of use.

OPTA is the first PLR, as reliable as a Finder industrial relay. Innovative and connected with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy technology. Programmable without licenses using Arduino IDE or IEC/EN 61131 programming languages such as LADDER, FBD, etc. Enhanced IoT security thanks to its secure element chip.

Finder OPTA is unique on the market because of its ultra-secure connectivity at the hardware level, its ability to perform OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates, its programming versatility (via open source software or standard PLC languages), and its connectivity options.

Expansion modules allow inputs and/or outputs to be added to different automation projects – with a maximum limit of five modules available for all OPTA versions (Lite, Plus, Advanced) – thus multiplying the inputs (up to 80 inputs for the digital version and 30 inputs for the analogue version*) and outputs (up to 40 for the digital version and 30 for the analogue version*).

Currently, the range includes the two digital expansion modules:

EMR DIGITAL EXPANSIONS TYPE 8A.58.9.024.1600

  • 16 digital/analogue inputs (0…10 V)
  • 8 EMR outputs 6 A
  • Rated voltage 12…24 V DC

DIGITAL SSR EXPANSIONS TYPE 8A.88.9.024.1600

  • 16 digital/analogue inputs (0…10 V)
  • 8 SSR outputs 2 A
  • Rated voltage 12…24 V DC

ANALOGUE EXPANSIONS TYPE 8A.26.9.024.0600

  • 6 analogue inputs 0…10 V, 4…20 mA, PT 100/1000
  • 2 analogue outputs 0…10 V, 4…20 mA
  • 4 PWM outputs
  • Rated voltage 12…24 V DC

*Analogue version available soon.
