Hammond Manufacturing: HYW Series Hygienic Type 4X Stainless Steel Wallmount Enclosure

Introducing the HYW series of hygienic type 4X stainless steel wallmount enclosures from Hammond Manufacturing, designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect against harsh, hygienic environments for wallmount applications. A sloped top prevents water from resting on top as well as providing potential for controls mounting, while an internal hinge design and door-edge mounted silicone gasket allow for easy cleaning in hose-down environments. A wide range of sizes and practical accessories make this product line a complete package.

HYW Series Construction

  • Formed, smooth 304 stainless steel.
  • Top sloped 25°
  • Continuously welded seams ground smooth.
  • Door stiffeners are provided where required for increased strength and rigidity.
  • Hygienic door latches (316 stainless steel quarter turns) require use of tool for opening.
  • Interior hinges provide 105 degree opening, are easily removed for reverse door swing or on-site modifications.
  • Silicone gasket (hygienic blue) mounts around entire door edge allowing for efficient cleaning in hygienic environments.
  • Gasket can be easily removed and re-installed for cleaning or replacement.
  • Internal alignment guide provided to limit door sag.
  • Collar studs provided for mounting inner panel.
  • Includes hardware kit with panel mounting nuts.
  • No pre-drilled wall mounting holes allow for flexible mounting alternatives – weld-in-place, stand-offs
  • Bonding stud provided on door and grounding stud installed in enclosure.

Finish

  • Cover and enclosure are natural stainless steel with a smooth #4 dairy finish.
