Leviton Announces Expansion of FLX-1 Technology to Include LANMARK-6 Plenum Cable

Leviton announced February 18, 2025, the expansion of its FLX-1 advanced polymer technology to include LANMARK-6 plenum cables. These Category 6 UTP cables feature a reduced-diameter construction for easy installation and termination across a wide range of applications, including enterprise systems, commercial and educational networks, and intelligent building systems.

By integrating FLX-1 technology into the cable jacket, the LANMARK-6 plenum cable becomes significantly more flexible, easier to bend, and less likely to kink, simplifying installations and solving common issues for network installers and integrators.

“With the introduction of this technology to our LANMARK-6 plenum cables, we are providing our customers with even more options for high-performance, easy-to-install network cabling,” said Mike Good, copper cable product manager for Leviton. “This expansion demonstrates our dedication to delivering innovative solutions that enhance productivity and reduce installation time.”

Key Features of the LANMARK-6 Plenum Cable With FLX-1 Technology:

  • Enhanced Flexibility: The advanced polymer technology allows for easier bending and reduces the likelihood of kinks, ensuring smoother installations.
  • Reduced Cable Memory: Virtually eliminates cable memory, making cable pulls more straightforward and less time-consuming.
  • Stress Mark Reduction: Minimizes visible stress marks on the cable jacket after tight bends, maintaining the cable’s integrity and appearance.

FLX-1 Technology Is Now Available With the Following Leviton Cables:

  • SST Cat 6A UTP Plenum Cable
  • RDT Cat 6A UTP Plenum Cable
  • LANMARK-1000 Cat 6 UTP Plenum Cable
  • LANMARK-6 Cat 6 UTP Plenum Cable

Leviton copper cables with FLX-1 technology, including LANMARK-6 plenum cable, are available today through an extensive distribution network. Learn more at Leviton.com/FLX-1.

ADVANCED Motion Controls Takes Servo Drives to New Heights (and Depths) with FlexPro Extended Environment Product Line

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.

Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.
