Helping to address the evolving power needs of 5G equipment, ABB Power Conversion recently introduced additions to its low-power Barracuda-series of DC/DC converters, its KBVS008 and KBVW010 modules. The 1/16th-brick converters offer high power density and efficiency in a compact footprint that aligns with an industry shift from 1/8th brick solutions to 1/16th brick isolated DC/DC bus converters.
To help address the challenges of more power in less space, ABB Power Conversion has expanded its MPR-series rectifier family with two new 850-watt MPR0812 power supplies. The MPR0812TEX12Z01A is designed for forward air flow for cooling and the MPR0812TER12Z02A utilizes reverse air flow. The compact, 1.57” high by 9” long by 2.5” wide rectifiers meet Class B radiated and conducted emissions requirements. This combination makes them well suited for a broad range of applications including computing and networking applications and communication systems, where space is often limited.

Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. has recently announced the launch of FR-E810W, an expansion of the FR-E800 series inverter lineup providing 120V service solutions. FR-E810W offers the improved safety, energy savings, and operation reliability of FR-E800 inverters to an additional voltage class. Traditionally, customers using Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s 240V inverters, with 120V service, were required to purchase an external step-up transformer to increase the supply voltage from 120V to 240V.
New, compact ultrasonic sensors from Leuze: The sensors of the HTU200 and DMU200 series are particularly suitable for applications in the packaging and automotive industries. They reliably perform difficult detection and measuring tasks by themselves: The new Leuze sensors detect objects regardless of their surface structure using a reflected acoustic pulse. They even detect glossy, transparent or dark surfaces as well as liquids or granular products problem free.
