At the show, an M-710iC/45M robot used the 3DV/1600 vision sensor to quickly find and snap boxes of varying sizes and shapes in a large bin. The robot picked each package and dropped it into another bin. Once a bin was emptied, the sensor moved to the full bin and the cycle repeated.
Industrial producers can now improve their network resiliency by using primary and backup adapters for the 1756-EN4TR ControlLogix EtherNet/IP communications module. This new redundant-adapter functionality is provided through a recent firmware update to the communication module.

AMT series encoders from CUI Devices are advanced capacitive encoders with a variety of uses. AMT series encoders are typically mounted to the back of a stepper motor but can be used in many other applications. CUI offers the AMT series encoders with configurable pulses per revolution (PPR). The PPR can be set for most models using the free AMT Viewpoint software (the AMT10-series encoders are configured using DIP switches).
