Just in time for CONEXPO-CON/AGG, POSITAL has announced that its innovative Dynamic TILTIX tilt sensors (inclinometers) are now UL listed, a critical step in providing customers with assurance about the safety and reliability of these products. A UL listed product has been tested by Underwriters Laboratories and meets its published and nationally recognized standards for safety. Christian Fell, head of POSITAL’s North American operations explains: “A UL listing assures our US customers that they receive high quality and safe products, which create sustainable and reliable environments to work in. UL listing is also globally recognized and opens the door to the acceptance of these devices (and to products that incorporate them) in many export markets.”
The new, exceptionally robust Endress+Hauser Proline Prosonic Flow G 300/500 flowmeters with optional integrated pressure and temperature sensors provide highly accurate, real-time values in even the most demanding environments. The Prosonic Flow G measures both dry and wet gases – natural gas, process gas or gas mixtures, either offshore or onshore – using ultrasonic flow measuring technology that has proven its reliability in decades of experience in the oil and gas as well as chemical industries.
Industrial automation solutions provider Omron Automation Americas has a new technology to help facilities get closer to the ultimate goal of zero downtime. By providing continuous, remote thermal monitoring of electrical panels and other components, Omron’s K6PM Thermal Condition Monitoring Device lowers the time and cost required for critical equipment inspections and minimizes the risk of unplanned shutdowns.
Bel Power Solutions has recently announced the TCP4000 Series of fanless, three-phase 4000 W AC-DC converters, suitable for a variety of industrial applications, including semiconductor lasers and plasma generators, as well as process and control applications. The TCP4000 Series converts worldwide three-phase input voltage (180 – 528 Vac) to an adjustable low voltage, from 30-100 Vdc, optimized at 90 V, which is ideal for semiconductor lasers.
The SDS-3008 smart Ethernet switch is the ideal product for IA engineers and automation machine builders to make their networks compatible with the vision of Industry 4.0. By breathing life into machines and control cabinets, the smart switch simplifies daily tasks with its easy configuration and easy installation. In addition, it is monitorable and is easy to maintain throughout the entire product life cycle.
Multi-conductor flexible control cable from AutomationDirect is now available in 20 AWG unshielded models with 3 to 25 conductors including ground. Existing gauge sizes are available from 18 AWG to 10 AWG with 3 to 41 unshielded or shielded conductors including ground wire.
WEM3080 Bi-directional WiFi energy meter products are used for monitoring and analysis of energy consumption in a residential electricity system or solar system. It can measure the real-time readings of Voltage, Current, Active Power, Active Energy, Frequency…, and upload the readings to the cloud. As the bi-directional meters, they are also ideal for use in a solar system.
The Drives & Motion division of Yaskawa America, Inc. proudly introduces the GA500 Industrial Microdrive, reflecting Yaskawa’s continued customer commitment to providing sustainable, flexible, and easy-to-use products. “This drive builds on the deep history of Yaskawa’s product quality,” Ed Tom, Product Manager, said. “The GA500 provides high reliability with its design to deliver a minimum of 10 years of continuous operation.”
As microprocessor technology moves forward, it is a logical step to rationalise hardware and condense many traditional control components down into a single, compact unit. Other than saving space, the benefits of an integrated solution include reduction of overall power consumption and reduction of application development time, whilst also allowing customers to standardise to a single controller to fit most of their applications.
The new DPDM Multimount compact cylinder is Festo’s smallest, lightest and most economical choice yet in its class. It’s ideal for many applications compact cylinders perform, such as stopping or stabilizing small work pieces or work platforms in light manufacturing. It’s noticeably smaller than Festo’s widely used DMM compact cylinder and unique for the variety of ways it can be fastened in place directly. It can be mounted at the front or rear, vertically or horizontally, hence the “Multimount” in its name.
Quick-disconnect cables have a 3, 4 or 5-socket M8 female connector on one end and 3, 4 or 5 open leads on the other end to provide fast and easy connection between field devices and terminal connections. A “lock in place” nickel plated brass or zinc coupling nut resists high levels of shock and vibration.
POSITAL has expanded its portfolio of rotary encoders and inclinometers (tilt sensors) to include more devices with IP69K level environmental protection. These sensors, which are designed to stand up to repeated exposure to the hot, high-temperature water jets used in pressure washing systems, are now available with a wider range of mechanical options and communications interfaces.
Balluff’s newly expanded inductive portfolio delivers a wide range of intrinsically safe sensors for use in explosion protected areas. Each sensor is approved for all explosive zones and offers reliable detection and position measurement when hazardous materials, such as explosive gas, dust, or flammable liquids, are present.
DXC Technology, HARTING Systems and Murata will present an innovative, RFID-based concept at “EuroShop 2020”, the world’s largest retail trade fair, held from 16-20 February 2020 in Düsseldorf. Developed by DXC, HARTING Systems and Murata, the RFID self-checkout counter enables a single scan of a complete shopping basket, providing a fast and seamless in-store shopping experience.
Higher amperage relay output modules and an 8-point input simulator module are now available from AutomationDirect for the CLICK® series stackable micro brick PLCs. The CLICK C0-04TRS-10 ($54.00) is a 4-point, 10A per point, isolated relay output module with four Form A (SPST) relays and 4 isolated commons. Operating voltage range is 6-24 VDC / 6-240 VAC.
