Stahlin Introduces Two Larger Sizes to SolarShield HMI Cover Line

December 4, 2024

Stahlin Enclosures is excited to introduce two new size options for its SolarShield HMI Cover lineup, now available in 16″ x 11″ and 20″ x 14″.

Designed to provide top-tier protection for Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens, SolarShield HMI Covers are engineered to withstand challenging environments. Available in Opaque and Clear models, these durable, non-metallic covers protect equipment from UV rays, water, dust, and other environmental factors.

The Stahlin SolarShield HMI Covers are perfect for non-hazardous industrial and commercial applications, including sectors like oil and gas, industrial machinery, water and wastewater, food and beverage, equipment manufacturing, and marine. They deliver the protection needed to keep equipment running smoothly and reliably in tough conditions.

Whether installed indoors or outdoors, SolarShield HMI Covers provide reliable protection. The Opaque version shields screens from direct sunlight for better visibility, while the Clear version offers complete transparency for easy monitoring. Now available in three sizes—10″ x 8″, 16″ x 11″, and 20″ x 14″—the line offers flexibility to suit a variety of applications and is compatible with both non-metallic and metallic enclosures.

Stahlin SolarShield HMI Covers come with a stainless steel hardware kit and are padlock-ready for enhanced security. Installation is quick and requires only standard tools. A seamless polyurethane gasket, applied with precision, ensures a tight seal that protects against water, dust, and other harmful elements.

Built to meet the highest standards, the new SolarShield HMI Cover sizes feature a UL “f1” UV exposure rating, comply with UL50e and UL508A, and are cULus Listed. Rated NEMA Type 4 and 4X, these covers operate in temperatures from -40°F to +248°F (-40°C to +120°C), ensuring consistent performance in demanding settings.

Key Features of Stahlin SolarShield HMI Covers:

  • User-Friendly Design: The Opaque model includes hinged inner doors for hands-free viewing, while the Clear model allows full visibility without opening the cover.
  • Protection That Lasts: Opaque covers protect screens from UV rays and reduce damage from dust and oils, cutting replacement costs.
  • Strong and Lightweight: Made from impact-resistant polycarbonate with UV inhibitors for lasting durability.
  • Reliable Sealing: A seamless foam gasket prevents environmental infiltration, ensuring equipment stays protected.

With the introduction of these new sizes, Stahlin continues to provide dependable solutions that protect critical equipment in diverse industries. The SolarShield HMI Covers are built for durability and reliability, making them an essential choice for long-term protection in challenging environments.

Stahlin Enclosures offers the most extensive selection of non-metallic enclosures available for meeting the needs of diverse industries, delivering time and labor-saving solutions, non-stop innovation, and superior product performance in interior and exterior applications.
